Principal's Corner

Welcome to Two Rivers Elementary School!

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am honored and excited to continue serving the Two Rivers Elementary community as principal. I feel incredibly grateful to work alongside our amazing students, staff, and families each day.

At Two Rivers, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student is valued and challenged to grow. We believe in supporting the whole child academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally while building strong relationships and a sense of belonging throughout our school community.

As an AVID Showcase School, we continue to focus on helping students build the skills they need to be successful learners and leaders. Through organization, collaboration, critical thinking, and meaningful student engagement, we are preparing students for future success while creating classrooms where all students can thrive. This year, we are also continuing our work around strong instruction aligned to grade-level standards and using assessments and student data intentionally to support every learner through our MTSS framework.

Family partnerships are an essential part of student success, and we encourage all families to stay connected and involved throughout the school year. ParentSquare remains our primary communication platform and allows us to share important updates, reminders, and celebrations in over 125 languages to better support our diverse community.

There are many ways to be involved at Two Rivers through volunteering, attending school events, participating in family nights, and staying connected through ParentSquare, teacher communication, and our school website. Families interested in volunteering can find volunteer information and applications on the Natomas Unified School District website here.

It is truly a privilege to serve as your principal, and I look forward to another incredible year of learning, growth, and collaboration together. Thank you for being part of our River Otter family!

Sincerely,
Catherine Anderson
Principal
