Principal's Corner

Welcome to Two Rivers Elementary School!

It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Two Rivers Elementary School. After proudly serving as the assistant principal last year, I am honored to continue my journey with this incredible school community in a new leadership role. Two Rivers is a truly special place, and I am thrilled to partner with our students, staff, and families to make this school year our best one yet!

At Two Rivers, we are committed to nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that every student feels seen, valued, and empowered.

We are proud to be an AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) school. AVID equips our students with the tools and strategies they need for success, beginning with strong foundations in organization, study skills, communication, and self-advocacy. These essential skills help pave the way toward college and career readiness, starting right here in elementary school. Through AVID, we also continue to build students’ literacy skills, using grade-level strategies that promote writing, thinking, and collaboration.

At Two Rivers Elementary, ParentSquare is our main platform for all school communication. This tool allows us to streamline how we connect with families and ensures that important messages, updates, and reminders are delivered clearly and consistently. One of the great features of ParentSquare is its ability to translate messages into more than 125 languages, helping us better serve our diverse community.

At Two Rivers, we believe in the power of family and community engagement. There are many ways for you to be involved in your child’s education—through volunteering, attending events, and staying informed via our school website, teacher newsletters, and ParentSquare updates. To volunteer on campus, please complete a volunteer application, which can be found on our district website here.

I am truly honored to serve as your principal and look forward to a year of growth, collaboration, and success. If you have any questions or would like more information about our school, programs, or expectations, please don’t hesitate to reach out or visit our digital backpack and website.

Here’s to a fantastic school year together!

Sincerely,

Catherine Anderson
